| The Donnington Hash House Harriers - usually written as DH3 - was founded in 1976 by Brigadier Ray Thornton, who had previously founded Bicester Hash House Harriers, and later went on to form Looe & Liskard Hash.
We are a non-competitive running club. The run is in the form of a trail, and is marked in flour or sawdust. The run is designed in such a way that slow runners can easily catch up with the faster ones. It is not a race and, in fact, there are penalties for competitive running. Often the slowest arrive back first. You can run, jog, walk or remain completely immobile, it is entirely up to you.
Those who find the trail call "On On!" to let the others know where to follow and to ensure that nobody gets lost. We have a Hash Horn which is blown by Keef, so that you can always hear the direction of the pack if you happen to get separated.
The average turnout is now around 30 runners each week.
